Bridal Shower—You are invited to bridal shower for Laura Jo Hurt and Grant Ferguson this Sunday, October 15th from 2 to 4 PM in the Multipurpose Building.  She is registered at Belk, Bed, Bath and Beyond, and Pizazz Gifts. 

 

Poinsettias— Located on the table in the sanctuary foyer are envelopes that can be filled out to donate to the flower fund in honor or memory of someone for $18.00. This will be used to buy Poinsettias for the Sanctuary this Christmas.    Please make sure to fill the envelope out completely.   Please turn your envelope into the office or drop the envelope in the tithing plate, or place on the podium next to the sound booth.  We have only nine more to purchase.  

 

Pumpkin Patch—Make your reservations for family fun at the Pumpkin Patch.   Evening Services on Sunday, October 15 will be held at the Pumpkin Patch in Caledonia, MS starting at 6:00 PM.  Each family needs to bring coat hangers or skewers for roasting hotdogs or marshmallows.  Also,  bring lawn chairs, drinks, and any other food your family may like.  Bring a flashlight if you are going through the maze.  We will provide chips, buns and wieners.  Cost will be $10 per adult to help cover overhead charges of the facility. Babies through Senior High are free.  Please turn your money in Sunday morning, October 15th.  Activities will include Hayride, maze, train ride and playground.

 

Young at Heart—Ron Mumbower will be the guest speaker to discuss subject matter of Care Giving and Grieving on October 18th at 11:30 AM in the Office Kitchen.  Lunch will be provided.  Lunch and seminar will be 11:30 AM -1:00 PM. Please call the office 662-329-3921 to have your name added to the list.

 

College and Career - Will be traveling to St. Jude on October 21st to give a donation for the sale of the T-Shirts and to help out feeding the families that are at the facility.  So please be in prayer for safe trip there and back.

 

Communion—We will have communion on October 22nd at 6:00 PM.

 

Women's Ministry is providing lunch and dinner for morning and evening classes at CWJC on October 24. If you can help, please sign the sheet on the WELCOME CENTER TABLE located in the Multipurpose Building. Please use foil pans or plastic non-returnable containers. DO NOT send in returnable dishes; EVERYTHING will be left in Starkville for the dinner meal.  Menu is Stouffers Lasagna (need 5) cooked, large green salads (need 3), boxes garlic Texas Toast (need 6) already toasted, and dessert of choice (need 4) pre-sliced is needed.  Needs to be at the church office kitchen by 10:30 a.m. October 24th.  You can also call Lynnda Williams at 662-549-2058 and let her know what you can bring. Operation Christmas Child Boxes—Mission Friends, Girls in Action and Royal Ambassadors will pack boxes with items for Christmas Operation Boxes on Wednesday night, October 25th.      

 

High Attendance Day and Tailgate Gathering— What a day to invite someone to attend Sunday School with you for    Sunday, October 29th and have them stay after church for lunch.  After the morning worship service we will meet behind the Office kitchen for lunch.  Each Sunday School class is to bring their own food and some lawn chairs.  Please feel free to dress casual this day and wear your team colors if you would like to show support for your favorite team.  Also, if you do not have a tent to put up, please call the office 662-329-3921 and let us know.  There will be no evening service.

 

Trunk and Treat—will be Tuesday, October 31 from 6:30-7:30 PM in the front parking lot.  We need people to donate vehicles and candy that night.  If you can help, please fill out the sheet that is located on the table in the foyer or located on the Welcome Center table in the Multipurpose building.  If you have any questions please contact Rachel Manchester  at (662-497-2489).
